North East Wisconsin Trails (NEWT) is a collaboration between trails clubs across northeast Wisconsin as a regional chapter of IMBA. Established in the spring of 2013, NEWT currently supports trail systems in Kewaunee County, Brown County, Outagamie County, and Waushara County, totaling nearly 34 miles of purpose-built singletrack. Our affiliation with IMBA provides our chapter with 501 (c) (3) status as a non-profit organization.

We are a 100% volunteer-run and community-supported organization. Without our volunteers and community sponsors, the wonderful trail systems we ride and support in northeast Wisconsin would not be a reality. Our mission is to expand and maintain access in northeast Wisconsin to sustainable, multi-use trails designed purposefully for mountain biking. We aim to work with and educate all trail users and land managers about the benefits of cycling, proper trail etiquette, and sustainable trail design. We celebrate our shared joy for mountain biking with fun, family-friendly trail riding events.

We are purely volunteered based on our board to our work crews. We have operating costs like any organization from marketing, printing costs, office supply costs, signage, tools, and building supplies and insurance for the chapter.
